How do I prepare my pet?

If your pet is very energetic and excitable please make sure they have had a chance to exert some of their energy before the photoshoot. We can achieve the best results when your pet is at their calmest. On the other hand if your pet is very shy or unsure of new enviroments I will do my best to make them feel calm and relaxed before we start the session.

It is also a good idea to give your pet a good brush before the photoshoot and to wipe their paws to make sure they're not muddy. If you're pet has dribbles you might want to bring a towel or a cloth with you.

IMPORTANT: There will be flashing studio lights, if your pet is easily scared of similar things or has epilepsy please let me know. There's an option to take the photographs with different types of lighting.

How much space do I need?

The ideal amount of space for dog studio portraits would be around 2 x 2 meters (6,5 x 6,5 feet), which can be found in most living rooms or extensions. More space gives more flexibility and posing possibilities but don't worry as it's perfectly possible to take some amazing portraits in tighter spaces too!

When it comes to cat studio photoshoots all we need is a dining table or a kitchen island or any surface that's raised from the ground that your cat loves to sit on like... a cat tree!

If you prefer to bring your pet to me for a photoshoot rather than have it at home, then follow me on my socials or subscribe to my Newsletter to find out about the next pop-up studio photoshoot event, and I will see you there!
